For those who love their rings chucky and oh so organic we recommend this fab ring by Justin Duance. Handmade in sterling silver, Justin has inset a thin band of oak around the ring. The melted textured finish of the silver mixed with the grain of the wood makes for a ring that will be loved for a very long time.
And don't worry about the rough finish on the edges, the ring is still incredibly comfortable.
Care of Justin's wooden rings
All the woods change over time. Most become darker and take on a driftwood feel but on some people they lighten. It all depends on your lifestyle. The changes seems to settle down after a couple of years. The wood is fine when the rings are worn all the time because the natural oils in your skin will stop the wood from drying out and cracking. Because the wood isn’t attached to the metal the rings can be worn in water. If you feel the wood is drying out you can oil the wood occasionally especially if you do not wear it for a while. We recommend linseed oil but any oil will do.
