This pewter letter opener is an enthralling piece of work by Keith Tysson. The basic shape is originally cast, but then shaped by hand and then the peacock plume detail added painstakingly again by hand. It's then oxidised which creates the blackened effect. You can really see the craftsmanship in these one-off pieces and any chap would be proud to have this on his desk.
