This entirely handmade pendant has been made using bright silver discs beaten into cup shapes that have then been given a textured surface to produce a wonderfully organic feel. The pendant has been hung on a 16" silver snake chain.
The Apple Blossom range came from Malcolm's desire to change the way that he worked as previously his designs were produced using mass production methods. With this collection he wanted to go back to basics, so designed a collection that was entirely hand made, meaning that no two pieces would be identical as the hand forging process does not allow this.
His designs are based on the natural forms of plants and by reducing the shapes to roughly circular and linear, they still retain their organic theme, but at the same time have a graphic quality. Made in fine silver, subtle texturing on some of the cups completes the feeling of delicacy, like blossom on trees in the springtime.
