Known as m'bira or marimba all over sub-saharan afric, this gorgeous fairly traded thumb piano is a traditional and timeless african instrument.

Not tuned to an exact western scale, these instruments are as much rhythmic as melodic. Lightly strike the keys with both thumbs. Be careful - you may find they are quite addictive!
