From the mountains of Peru, panpipes are a wind instrument frist made by the incas. In mountain passes high in the andes, men thought that to echo the haunting sound of the whistling wind, would be to communicate directly with the gods.

The sound is made by blowing over the top of the pipes like a bottle.
