This incredible print is of the beautiful Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Created by Shelly Perkins, the piece starts life as a detailed line drawing inspired by her visits to the town. The drawing is then transferred to her computer where she layers the images with scanned found and made textures and watercolour washes to develop an idiosyncratic, organic feel. These elements, coupled with an emphasis on the play of light and shadow, come together to define her individual style. Each image is printed to a very high quality on fine textured paper and limited to an edition of 50. This print comes in a lime washed ash frame with white mount.

The more you look into Shelly’s townscapes the more you discover as they hold wonderful extra details and surprises in every inch. This would make a wonderful gift for any resident or regular visitor of Moreton-in-Marsh and the Cotswolds.

Shelly Perkins began her formal illustration training at the UWE Bristol Art School. During that time she visited the Cotswolds regularly, developing a great affection for the picturesque Cotswolds towns and villages such as Winchcombe, Broadway and Chipping Campden. Shelly then began to work out how she could create a collection of illustrations using a group of 10 chosen Cotswolds towns. Starting photographically, she went on to create this collection of beautiful illustrations that capture the essence of the Cotswolds.
