elizabeth welch glass sculptures

Elizabeth Welch’s fascination with glass began in 2009 when she graduated in Ceramics and Glass from Bucks New University. She went on to complete the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme where she received funding and business mentoring in March 2012 to start up her own business. Since then Elizabeth Welch has been making original artisan hand-made glass sculptures. She uses two types of hot glass techniques; glass blowing and lampwork. She uses these two methods as they are best for creating her distinctive designs.

Many of her ideas come from observing objects from the world around her, specifically nature. She is drawn to natural forms, mythological creatures and her work focuses on enhancing the use of colour and form to create pieces that look truly magical.
