This engrossing art glass sculpture stands on a block of granite. It is designed, signed and handmade by Bertil Vallien and by the masters at Kosta Boda glassworks.
A small painted glass head is floated at casting into the clear glass house which is finished with silver foiled on the sides. The predominant effect of foil is to bounce the light around the house so the encapsulated face reflects against the roof evoking a sense of magic.
House of Janus is from a Limited Edition series of 500. Bertil Vallien is one of a mere handful of talented glass-artists who enjoy worldwide fame.
