This marvellous one-off sculpture by Linda Lovatt is of a jolly lady called Betty wearingher prize winning bonnett. She is looking down on a sweet little butterfly whos come to rest on her finger. Its the perfect addition to any keen gardener or lover of truly quirky and original art. This incredible creation is all handmade by Linda using copper sheet and broken bits of sea pottery washed up on the shores of Holy Island. The copper is aged with chemicals to give it the beautiful verdigris colour. The head and hands are cast in glass with her features brought to life with make-up! Her tangled bright auburn curly hair is made from copper strips. Finally her prize winning bonnet is made using fragments of rescued vintage ceramic pots and ornaments with a little dragonfly fluttering above. She is fixed securely to a lime-washed wooden block. A truly original piece of art, she would surely be adored by any gardener with a good sense of humour. Materials: copper, ceramic, beads, wire, glass Size: H: 20cm; W: 15.5cm, D: 17cm Item code: LLXBET
