llanbedr rock art silver charm bangle by silverfish
- Out of stock
This spiral charm bangle is based on the rock art featured on a stone located in a church in Llanbedr, North Wales, illustrating the spiral and cupmark detail on the stone surface. The rock art dates back to approximately 3000-2300 BC. The charm has been hung on a slim lightly hammered silver bangle and is designed to slide around so it always sits at the bottom when worn. Carol James, who is behind silverfish jewellery, is a trained archaeologist. Carols main interest lies in prehistoric rock art and includes work on an on-going project finding and recording rock art in Wales with the Welsh Rock Art Organisation. These influences are reflected in many of the pieces she produces.
