David Pantling creates quirky ceramic tableware that will bring a smile to your face everytime you use it. David makes his pottery using a white earthenware clay which is decorated with slips, glazed and once-fired. Each piece is hand painted by David in his distinctive bold and joyful style. He is inspired by natural and industrial landscapes as well as themes of communication, and his work reflects a love of painting.
Using his background in architecture, David Pantling designs the shape of his tea sets and tableware on the drawing board, before having fun with the hand-painted decoration. Each piece is handmade at David's studio in Nottingham, and because he paints each one, every piece is unique!
