linda lovatt's whimsical assemblages at iapetus

Linda Lovatt trained as an illustrator and, coming from a family of engineers, has a passion for metal working. This, together with her love of early Folk Art and French automata inspired her collection of jewellery and assemblage, which are made with soldered copper, chemical verdigris and fragments of the past.

Linda's garden provides a rich source of inspiration as well as finds such as broken pottery for her illustrative and quirky creations, complemented by pretty chipped cups, lonely saucers and redundant keys from antique and second hand shops. Her pieces have an intricate, fairytale feel and each is entirely unique

Linda recently featured on Kirstie Allsopp's "Kirstie's Handmade Christmas", winning best wreath created in her own unique style.
